Christopher Pratt

Christopher PRATT, 42 years old, has never dreamed of doing anything else but sailing. Sailing, and at the highest level. That has always been his ambition.

After a course in sport studies and a runner-up title in the dinghy class at just 18, he tried his hand at the biggest races in his field (Solitaire du Figaro, Transat Jacques Vabre, Transat AG2R, Tour de France à la voile, Route du Rhum, etc.).

He was the "young up-and-comer", winner of the Challenge espoir Crédit Agricole in 2005 and the Filières du Talent DCNS in 2008, and put in a remarkable performance in the Route du Rhum 2010, despite being the youngest in the IMOCA class.

He then went on to work with renowned skippers such as Armel Le Cleac'h and Jérémie Beyou, winning two successive podium finishes in the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2011 and 2013.

From 2019, he became the co-skipper of Jérémie Beyou on Charal 1. The duo then went on to achieve a series of podium finishes in the Championship races.

In 2023, Christopher first sailed Team Malizia on the fourth leg of the round the world race, between Itajaí and Newport. He then went on to sail double-handed with Maxime Sorel on the V AND B - MONBANA - MAYENNE dragon for the Rolex Fastnet Race, the Défi Azimut and the Transat Jacques Vabre.
