Justine Mettraux, a Swiss sailor born in Geneva in 1986, grew up in Versoix and began sailing at a young age on the family boat. At the age of 16, Justine joined the Geneva Regatta Training Centre, where she honed her competitive skills.
She then joined the crew of Dona Bertarelli's D35 Lady Cat and took part in her first Mini Transat in 2013, finishing in second place. This was followed by a series of offshore experiences between the Solitaire du Figaro and the Volvo Ocean Race. In 2022,
the Vendée Globe adventure began, and she took her first steps in solo IMOCA racing. In 2024, thanks to the support of her long-standing sponsor, TeamWork, and the Snef Group, she set sail on the solo round-the-world race, finishing in 8th place, the first
woman and record holder in the event. The adventure continues in 2025!
