Xavier caught the sailing bug as a child, accompanying his father on his sailboat. He simultaneously learned to race in sailing clubs and progressed from dinghies to cruisers, from the 420 to the Tour de France à la Voile. In 2008, at the age of 27, he bought the sailboat
of his dreams: a Pogo 2 for the 2009 Mini Transat. He finished in third place. With this Pogo 2, Xavier competed in nine races and won six victories. Building on this success, he entered the professional circuit in Figaro in 2011. Since then, he has competed
every year in the highly contested Solitaire du Figaro: in addition to two stage victories, he has been on the podium three times in the overall classification. And he has had countless successes in other races on the circuit: Solo Maître Coq, Solo Guy Cotten, Sardinha
Cup... None of them have resisted him. In 2022, he joined the Class40 circuit and won the Drheam Cup. He doubled his winnings in 2024, also winning the Niji 40, a transatlantic race between Belle-Île-en-Mer and Marie Galante.
