This morning, at 06h 56min 02s, Charlie Dalin and Paul Meilhat crossed the finish line of the 48H AZIMUT, the Défi Azimut - Lorient Agglomération offshore race, completing the 550 mile race in 1 day 15h 48min and 02s at an average speed of 13.86 knots

After a race spent at the front, the duo once again signed a clear round. APIVIA took first place a few minutes after the start on Thursday and never gave the others a chance to change the order of things. All along the course, in light airs and breezes, upwind and downwind, they kept a very high pace and proved to be a cut above the rest.

For the team, the objective of this race was also to test the latest developments of their IMOCA, such as the wardrobe, and confirm the power of their pair of foils. This victory follows the Rolex Fastnet Race victory last August and confirms their place as favorites for the Transat Jacques Vabre this fall.
