Kojiro Shiraishi

Kojiro Shiraishi, is an experienced sailor, who already has three world tours behind him.


After watching on television the exceptional victory of Japanese skipper Yukoh Tada during the BOC Ocean race in 1983 (the first Asian to win a race around the world), he asked to be his disciple in 1987.
Since Tada‘s death in 1991, Shiraishi has dedicated all his races to his Master Yukoh Tada, including his first solo world tour which he made at only 26 years old.

He was the first Asian to participate to the Vendée Globe, he now wants to become the first to finish it in 2020 on his brand new foiler IMOCA, DMG MORI GLOBAL ONE.
