Roland Jourdain

Roland Jourdain, «Bilou», as he is known, is a passionate player of the ocean race world. He has an impressive prize list : two-time Imoca World Champion, winner of the IMOCA Route du Rhum editions in 2006 and 2010, two editions of Jacques Vabre in 1995 and 2001… Today, he combines the experience and talent of the greatest sailors.

But he gave a new meaning to his work with his racing team «Kaïros». They don’t just manage his sporting career or prepare other people’s boats. It is also a true laboratory for humanity and the planet. The goal is to make a difference by offering competitive solutions.

Kaïros specialized on this specific niche of bio-composites by creating a department of the same name. The goal is to help manufacturers use sustainable alternatives.

To meet such challenges, Roland is convinced that we need real environmental explorers, who are not afraid to innovate, who collaborate. To support these explorers, in 2013, he created the EXPLORE endowment fund.
