A native of La Trinité-sur-Mer, Corentin Horeau has always been passionate about the sea. A graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy, he grew up sailing in Quiberon Bay, where he developed a taste for competition at a very early age.
After sailing a variety of boats, from the Laser to the Diam 24, he turned to offshore racing in 2011 by winning the Challenge Espoir Bretagne CMB selection race on the Figaro circuit. A regular competitor in the Solitaire du Figaro, he won the race in 2023 after six attempts.
Passionate and a competitor at heart, Corentin is known for his determination and high standards, while remaining deeply committed to the human values of offshore racing. In 2023, he made his debut in the IMOCA class as Benjamin Dutreux’s co-skipper in the Transat Jacques Vabre. In 2025, he joined Team Paprec Arkéa as Yoann Richomme’s co-skipper. At the same time, he became the new skipper of the MACSF project with one major goal: the 2028 Vendée Globe.
