Sébastien Simon

The 29 year old Sébastien Simon hasn’t lagged behind. Olympic sailing in 420, offshore racing in crew then solo, he won in 2013 the Espoir Bretagne-CMB challenge.
Five years later, he won the Solitaire URGO Le Figaro and became an elite French champion in offshore racing.
The Vendée Globe is a dream for this man from Les Sables d’Olonne. He is aware of the challenge ahead, he humbly approaches his arrival in the IMOCA class and seeks expertise from Vincent Riou, the technical director of the ARKÉA PAPREC project.
This year, he won the Bermuda 1000 race – his first race in the IMOCA class - on the PRB boat, which was temporarily in his partner’s colors, before launching his brand new IMOCA boat, signed Juan Kouyoumdjian.
